The Chargeback Resolve platform is processor agnostic, and is integrated directly into the Card Associations in real-time. The system processes incoming chargebacks from the card-issuers and processors and is integrated, managed, and maintained in our Case Management center. Chargeback Notifications that are created and are provided to the Acquirer, ISO, and MSP in available formats, which include Raw Data, PDF, and Word Documents. The Acquirer, ISO, and MSP are responsible for managing merchant chargebacks and response timelines based on Card Associations Guidelines set forth.
When a consumer disputes a transaction with their issuing bank, the system will provide electronic notifications to the merchant with details relating to the transaction along with reason codes and supplemental requirements.
Chargeback Cases that have been disputed by the merchant will be processed through the platform and will be reviewed by a Chargeback Analyst. The Chargeback Analyst will determine if documents support the reason code for disputed transaction. A notification is sent to the merchant with the decision of the chargeback case through workflow. Through the platform, the chargeback analyst will determine which cases have been satisfied and mark for processing. All marked for processing cases are provided to the Card Association Portals (Visa Resolve Online, MasterComm) via real-time API. Upon receipt from the Card Association, Representments are then provided to Accounts Receivable for Reconciliation and Clearing that credits or debits based on dispute resolution.
